Orlando Britto-Jinorio (Islas Canarias, 1963) is an independent curator who has been working on international projects about contemporary art for more than 20 years. He is director of the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno – CAAM, where acted as chief curator between 1989 and 1998. From 2001 to 2007 Britto was director and curator of the Espacio C, an interdisciplinary art project in Cantabria, within which artists from all around the globe participated.

Orlando has been curator and director of many art festivals and international meetings in urban spaces as well as in natural locations. Among these we can find: “Proyecto Diáspora” in Oviedo (1999); “Paradise Zero” in Uppsala, Sweden (Eventa 5, 2000); “Naturaleza, Utopías y Realidades” in Gran Canaria (2001); “Espacios híbridos” in Gran Canaria (2003); “Naturaleza y Coexistencia” in the Encuentro Internacional de Arte in Esles; “Performando 2002”, a performance festival in Las Palmas; “Festival Urbano de Performance” in the XV Bienal de Cerveira, Portugal (2009). Britto has also collaborated in different occasions with the Havanna Biennial, Dak’Art Bienal, Bamako Bienal, Trienal de Luanda, Caribe Trienal, Cuenca Bienal, and Alejandría Bienal. In 2014 has curated the V Bienal de Honduras.
