Centro per l’arte contemporanea Luigi Pecci

The Centro Pecci collection includes over 1000 works, sculptures, installations and environments, paintings, photographs and video works from the 1950s up to today, mostly purchased in the wake of exhibitions. Specific bodies of works come from the Carlo Palli Collection and from acquisitions of the Friends of the Centro Pecci and the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation of Prato.

Particularly noteworthy are the works of various exponents of Arte Povera and the Italian and international Transavangarde, also those of ex-URSS artists. The collection also contains a vast body of works and projects of Concrete Poetry, Visual Poetry, visual experiences of musicians and performers, sections dedicated to Radical Architecture, artists’ films in Tuscany from 1964 to 1980, artist books.
